Why Breakmysong.com?
The traditional music business model has not kept pace with technology and the digital world. Today, Artists and DJ’s have the power to control their own careers. By combining the power and creativity of both, music from all over the world will be shared, giving each more fans and influence in shaping the music scene today and for years to come.
How did Breakmysong start?
Breakmysong started when one of our founders, Troy Jones found how difficult it was to get his music played by local clubs and radio stations. Determined to achieve his goal, he used his marketing and advertising experience to build his own social network of DJ’s and industry insiders. Today, Troy has his house and hip-hop music playing in clubs and radio stations all over the world.
Troy knew that his situation was not unique and that there were many talented artists and DJs out there that could collaborate and achieve their goals. Soon, Troy teamed up with some of his industry friends to create a site to help artists promote and distribute their music while recognizing that DJ’s are the real trendsetters in the industry.

How does Breakmysong work?
1. Artists can upload their song’s to the global crate. The crate is where DJ’s all over the world search for new material.
2. Artists can also contact specific DJ’s to break their song. If a DJ decides to break a song, a feedback channel will be set up so both can communicate and work together.
Global Crate: Once an account is created, artists have the ability to upload their songs into the community Global Crate or to multiple DJ’s around the globe. The Crate is where DJ’s from all over the world search to see what’s hot and original. If a DJ selects a song and decides to break it, the artist will be notified and a feedback communication channel will be established to update artists of where and when the song(s) will break.
